More and more over the past few years my husband has been complaining
that I keep jerking/kicking at night, sometimes all night long. Of
course this isn't great for marital harmony and I was wondering if this
was the "restless leg syndrome" I've seen various posts about. I am on
Sandomigrain/Periactin for migraine control each night, and in fact have
been on some form of migraine medication for the past 20 years as I
suffer severe migraine episodes, sometimes up to 3-4 times a month.
Could the drugs cause this or is it a nervous reaction? Is it something
many Celiacs suffer from? Would a sleep disorders clinic be a help?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated by my husband! (Unfortunately
for him I don't disturb MYSELF during these kicking episodes - although
I do wake up tired some times - small wonder)

RE; ECINACEA

The opinion was very much 50/50 as to whether or not Celiacs should
boost their immune systems with Echinacea from strong No's to very
positive Yes's. I guess this one's up to individual circumstances. I
use vitamins that have a portion of Echinacea in them but don't take a
specific Echinacea tablet and I don't appear to suffer any ill effects.
I do get a flu injection every winter and I don't really suffer too much
- I will get 2-3 episodes each Winter where I know I've got some Viral
infection, but usually not too severe and not lasting more than a week -
which seems pretty normal with the rest of the general population.

Also, my thanks to the personal replies I received wanting to know more
about New Zealand and Auckland where I live... I wonder if I should
contact the Tourism Board for a commission - I would welcome contact
from fellow international Celiacs visiting Godzone!

cheers, Lorraine
