MasterCook was most often mentioned with many positive comments:
Pros: search by ingredient, used by professional chefs, can search by
deleted ingredient (ie. no pasta), ability to resize portions, can easily
add your own recipes and print them out, can sort by alpha and by category,
create menus and shopping lists. Someone purchased the 6.0 version at
Target for $20 recently. Cooling Light magazine version available.
Cons: cumbersome to print out the recipes in a book format, lots of
recipes included that are not gf and are too simplistic.
Other program mentioned less frequently: From Scratch, MicroSoft Word in
book format, Now You're Cooking (www.ffts.com), WP card file program (ht
tp://www2.omnitel.net/zdramys/azzcardfile/).
Question: For users of Master Cook - can you delete recipes out of the
program that you don't want to use?
