JOB TITLE:      Mail Processing Machine Operator
DEPARTMENT:     Office Administration
LOCATION:       6000 American Parkway, Madison, WI
SALARY RANGE:   $9.26-$12.50 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:  Ability to lift up 60 pounds.  Able to work in a
standing position 100 percent of the time.  Ability to push and pull APC
carts which varies from 25 pounds to 1,000 pounds.  Willingness to work
whenever required, including weekends and holidays, and able to change
hours as needed.  Mechanical ability and troubleshooting aptitude is
desirable.  Ability to work under pressure.  Ability to work within
established time parameters/schedules.

*Working hours: 9:20 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Operates the inserting and presorting equipment to
process daily work within established time parameters to meet Company and
Postal Regulations/Deadlines.  Performs the necessary daily maintenance
and prepare/setup machine to process various pieces of mail for
distribution to Post Office.  Processes notices, special mailings,
letters, policies, etc., with correct inserts and envelopes.  Makes sure
correct postage and date is applied on envelopes.  Keeps accurate records
of daily work and information memos.  Orders supplies as needed.  Machine
output is to remain on schedule to ensure continued premium income for
the Corporation.
