Urgent Alert: TABOR Hearing on Tuesday, July 27
In a surprise move, Senate Leader Mary Panzer (R-West Bend) has called
the Senate into session to consider the Taxpayers Bill of Rights (TABOR).
The Senate has scheduled a last-minute public hearing on TABOR to gather
input.
The hearing will be held before the Senate Committee on Judiciary,
Corrections and Privacy:
Tuesday, July 27, 1:00 p.m.

Action Needed:
The Senate Committee members and all State Representatives and State
Senators need to hear about TABOR from their constituents RIGHT NOW.
Legislative leaders are trying to pass TABOR by the end of this week.
Some talking points about TABOR:
- The final version of TABOR has not been made public. Amending the
State Constitution in the last week of the legislative session without
INFORMED public input is unacceptable.
- Controversial budget policy should not be placed in the Constitution.
- TABOR may force cuts in Medicaid, education, and other public
services.
