Hi Kelechi, Good to hear from you again after a long
hiatus from the net---(both of us that is).Say, bro K,
is that website still available?--because I would need
it very soon. The past couple of weeks I successfully
went through the process of incorporating a non-profit
organization here in Wisconsin. Two weeks ago, I filed
for a Tax-exempt status with the federal authorities
and I am now waiting for their response. The Africana
Newsletter idea I planned earlier is not dead--I
simply decided to wait until I completed registration
of the organization in which the newsletter will be a
part of a broader program of activities. As you may
want to know, I do also have over 15 years experience
managing non-profit organizations and years ago I was
twice featured in a BBC television documentary, once in
the Gambia and the second time, while I was on a workng
visit to the U.K. Meanwhile I am becomming more and
more computer savvy, which means I am becomming more
proficient in accessing resources and research
material on the net for the Africana Newsletter. As
soon as I receive the tax-exempt approval I would like
to involve anyone from the African Association who
wants to get on board because our programs and
objectives are very different.I do already have a
number of students lined up who want to
volunteer..........I kind of stumbled on Mr Emeagwali
website while I was researching for a class speech
presentation on "The African Braindrain".I will try to
invite Mr. Emeagwali here for a speaking tour under
the auspices of the organization as soon as we are
ready to rock'n'roll.Until then you have a good life
over here...............Mathew.
