AFRICA UNITED - 4 ATLAS - 2
CONGRATULATIONS, AFRICA UNITED!!!!

We are the "CHAMPIONS" !!!! How sweet it is!!!!

Africa United Soccer Club sealed their spot in the 1st Division League by
defeating Atlas Soccer Club in the championship game of the year, 4 goals to
2. The game took place at the Breese Stevens Stadium on Friday, June 22,
2001.
Atlas, the Mexican team, deserves a pat on the back for their efforts in
being a formidable opponent; their speed and agility could only be surpassed
by the tactfulness of our Africa United.
We thank Africa United family and friends for their unyielding support and
understanding.
KC Eke flew all the way from Dallas, Jonathan Ngah from Milwaukee all to
cheer their African brothers on; thanks bros. We can not ask for more!

We thank African Association brothers and sisters for their support; those
who were there physically and those who were there in spirit. Your cheers
and messages of support were well received. We couldn't have achieved the
glaring success without you.
The drumming beat of Africa resounded all over the stadium during the game;
thanks to Mathiam Mbow and his troupe. The echo of our celebration, none
less after victory!
Mike Bear from Rockford, always with us, the long drive notwithstanding, we
thank you. Professor Aliko Songolo; thank you for your presence and your
words of encouragement.
The Amakobes, the whole family, thanks for coming and cheering us on.

To the African Community via the African Association....THANK YOU!

To all our guys nursing injury, we wish you a quick healing process.

Africa United Soccer Club summer tournaments are forthcoming; you will be
notified.

Thanks, all.

Ray Ade Kumapayi
