>Hi Dr. Iyi-Iweka,
>
>I'm writing to follow-up on my phone call earlier today (Sat.) about the
>possibility of the African Association of Madison (AAM), and the African
>Womens Association (AWA) participating in the up-coming Wiscsonsin Public TV
>(WPT) pledge drive.
>
>I received an e-mail (appended below) from Sheldon Ellestad, the Volunteer
>Manager for WPT, about the pledge drive, and wanted to bring it to your
>attention. We talked about it a while back, and I think now is a great time
>to re-consider participating in the pledge drive. Not only would be a
>valuable experience for AAM, and AWA members, it would also help give these
>organizations more exposure in the state. Furthermore, with the pledge
>drive being close to the Africa Fest 2000 date, I think participating in the
>WPT pledge drive would be a great way to promote the festival. Please
>e-mail or call Sheldon directly to follow-up on this e-mail. His office
>phone number is 262-8508.
>
>Also, I might as well take this opportunity to ask whatever came out of our
>conversation about hosting Sen. Feingold for a dinner with the African
>community. I would like to know if you had an opportunity to discuss it
>with the AAM Executive, and if so, what your decision was. Given that
>Summer's here, and we are heading into an campaign season, we have to start
>working on the dinner, if at all it's going to be had.
>
>By the way, I would not be able to attend today's AAM meeting. But, as
>always, you have my full support! For your information, I am copying this
>e-mail to Ann Marie Dawson of AWA.
>
>I guess that's about it for now. Have a great weekend, and best wishes.
>
>Sincerely,
>

>> Hi Shel,
>>
>> It was my pleasure too talking to you about your auction. I talked to the

>> At any rate, I told the AAM president that even if it would not be

>> feedback from the people I've contacted.
>>
>> Thanks a lot for the great work, and best wishes for a wonderful weekend!
