What type of test are you administering--do you know the names? Are they
traditional IQ tests, academic proficiency examinations, assessment of
interests surveys...? "Cognitive" does not mean a great deal in testing as
so many test claim to assess cognitive abilities. Would you please provide
us with more detailed information? Thank you.

Lack of knowledge leads to misguided and ineffective strategies. Lack of
effective strategies leads to ineffective plans. Ineffective plans
increase the likeliness of failure. Failure increases apathy and
diminishes individual commitment. Without commitment and action, our
meetings become pointless, our goals unattainable, and our greatest
advocates begin to disappear.

>Hello,
>I am a graduate student in the School Psychology Program here at UW. As
>part of my graduate training, I am required to administer cognitive and
>achievement measures to diverse adults and children. I would like to
>offer your members the opportunity to experience standardized testing
>procedures by taking individual intelligence and achievement tests. The
>results are not valid and will not be kept by the department or
>program. Administration of a test would take two hours. The sessions
>will be at a psychological clinic in the Educational Sciences
>Building. By participating in the training of school psychologists,
