I was hospitalized over the weekend for atrial fibrillation and chest pain.
I had a good hospital experience at St. Joseph hospital in Joliet IL. My
celiac was taken very seriously and I could not have had better medical
care. (Dietary was still a nightmare but I brought my own food.) Seems as
if some of my problems could be traced to a low magnesium intake. I do take
magnesium however, it does not seem to be doing the trick for me. Slow-mag
was recommended and we have been researching it. The manufacturer did say
gluten-free - but I see a number of questionable ingredients. I am curious
if anyone out there takes slow-mag - especially anyone who has extreme
reactions to gluten. This med is a "distributed by" product that is
manufactured in France and licensed to another company. I get nervous with
so many middle men.
Also, I am wondering if anyone has had recent reactions to any Nature Made
vitamins. I am in the middle of my first extended celiac respone in years
and I am having difficulty finding the culprit. I am losing weight rapidly
with almost continous diarrhea.
Lastly, has anyone on the list made use of the Universtiy of Chicago's
Celiac clinic? I have been trying to connect with them to no avail.
