As there have been no posts to this list for almost two years, I intend to close it in two weeks.

Unlike the situation in 1997, there are now masses of websites looking at aspects of "evolutionary fitness", particularly dietary aspects. In one way I am sad to see the closure, as NO website or forum has taken over the perspective established by "Evolutionary Fitness". Perhaps the best site is:

http://ecco.vub.ac.be/?q=node/1

because it is NOT looking inwardly and individualistically at "What's in it for me?". However, this excellent site is more academically-oriented than Evolutionary Fitness was.

Even Art DeVany has moved on a bit:

I also have grown since I joined this list in the 1990s, widening rather than narrowing my field of enquiry:

Thanks for being with us over all these years - and best wishes for the future.

Keith Thomas
