cannot help with the Windows Update question, but as someone else
recommended I'd suggest running something like Ad-aware from Lavasoft. I'd
also find out how to spell the application that's coming up and look for
it on google.com. I had something similar happen to me once (in fact it
was probably the same application, but unfortunately I cannot remember the
spelling) and a quick search on google.com took me to a web site with step
by step instructions on how to remove the program.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Interesting situation
I am working with a client who has gotten into quite an interesting
situation. During the recent Christmas holidays, she was trying to
download
some stuff from an Australian site (I do not have the url), and she ended
up
inadvertently downloading something called Soepro or Soeproe. She is
running Windows XP Home and went into the Control Panel and thought she
had
removed the program. However, from time to time, she will still get some
items relating to this program popping up.
I have three questions. First, what is Soepro? Second, how can we remove
it completely from her computer? Finally, her Windows Update is now no
longer in her System Tray. How can we get it back in there?
Thanks for your advice.
