Information and Referral / Special Projects Coordinator
Institute on Disabilities
Temple University
Philadelphia, PA
The Institute on Disabilities is searching for a qualified candidate who can
serve as Information and Referral / Special Projects Coordinator. The
successful candidate will provide consumer-responsive information and
referral services regarding accessible electronic and information technology
in education settings as well as the types and availability of assistive
technology devices and services.
This position also involves guiding Pennsylvanians with disabilities, family
members and service providers through the process of identifying and
obtaining appropriate devices and services, with an emphasis on borrowing
assistive devices through PA’s AT Lending Library. Other functions may
include conducting introductory-level training on assistive and accessible
technologies. The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, and to
work as a member of a team. This is a Philadelphia-based position.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree (preferred) in a field related to
services for persons with disabilities and/or technology
Knowledge and experience in working with people with disabilities
Knowledge of assistive technology and/or accessible electronic and
information technology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Note some overnight travel may be required.
