The European line-up for the World Cup has just been completed. The nations to be added are Slovenia, Germany, Belgium and Turkey. The results of the play-offs, with the first matches in brackets, are:
Romania 1 - Slovenia 1 (1-2)
Germany 4 - Ukraine 1 (1-1)
Czech Republic 0 - Belgium 1 (0-1)
Turkey 5 - Austria 0 (1-0)
The match between Iran and Ireland is played tomorrow in Teheran, with Ireland on a two goals cushion.
Today also completes the South American line-up with the rest world waiting to see what Brazil would do at home.
The only consolation is that Brazil have never lost a qualifying match at home.

I owe some of you my "fuka-ak-butut" on Alhaji Njie "Biri". I shall do my best after I have gone through the umpteen mails in my inbox to give my take on that legend, most probably before this weekend.
