April 19, 1775 -- The battles of Lexington and Concord, and the "Shot heard
round the world." This was the beginning of the American Revolution.

The British Governor of Mass had received orders from England to commandeer
all weaponry of the militia. The American militia was prepared for this
occurrence and was prepared to meet British soldiers on the battlefield.
