yes up north people still hunt and gather a lot but with all the modern
equipment , skidoo ,rifle etc.. and they get governement "help " junk food
and alcohol.

But mostly i will say hunter gatherer tribes are not there anymore not so
much because they lost their original  mean of  sheltering feeding
themselves but because of the social destructuration .
To get subsidies from government doesn't necessite cooperation skills .

What made hunter gatherers happier is the cooperation ,support of their
piers., the mixing of generations etc... Tribal lifestyle is paradise for
childrens compared to the lonely  misery of our children raised in a nuclear
family setting , herded in schools, isolated from adult life and expected to
find out on their own what life is about.
