Yeah, Beth, right after she and Pop moved to San Antonio, they bombed Pearl
Harbor and it was own. Can you imagine living in a town with 8 large military
bases during
WWII. I remember one day I was playing and the skies were filled with C-47's
towing gliders, practicing for D-Day. We would ind souvenirs drunken soldiers
had dropped.
My "prize" was a Sterling silver SS dress bayonet with blood stains oon it.
Gruesome for a kid to grow up like that, but in all that my Mom happen on to
the best neurosurgeon in town and he treated me during my entire childhood
and adolescence and never charged my parent one dime.
