...And yes, I'm convinced that I have PTSD both from the spiritual/touch
abuse I suffered in high school as well as from having to fight my way
through public school since I ALWAYS had to prove myself....



Ok, Not to take away from all the help you all are going to continue to give Matt but he has brought up a really good point to this mom of a very young boy who has spastic quad CP and needs help with self care. Like Mags has said I teach him to tell if a touch feels wrong or makes him feel uncomfortable but just the fact that he needs help in the bathroom still leads to touches other 6 yr olds wouldn't have to deal with. How do you teach the good/bad touch lesson in a case like this. And yes I'm continuing to work on independence so it doesn't have to be a future issue.
