Just a further word on gluten/celiac headaches. I have had severe headaches
and migraine for many years now. I know that most of them are linked either
to gluten or any of the many food intolerances which plague me. However, I
have been taking co-dydramol for headaches, muscle and joint pain,
particularly at bedtime for many years, and always have severe headache and
feel toxic in the mornings. I recently went gluten free and decided to stop
all painkillers because I wasn't sure of their GF status and was also
worried about being dependent on them. I now realise that I was hooked, my
morning headaches probably were caused by them and sleep is impossible
without them. I have now cut them out altogether and am begining to feel a
little better, but getting to sleep is a real problem! I would like to warn
others - don't use codeine on a regular basis. It is addictive and not
worth the hassle. Now if only I had a good sleeping pill ..........
