Who is Masanobu?
Masanobu Fukuoka ,88 years old japanese farmer ,reformed scientist ( plant
pathologist) author of <The natural way of farming, the theory and practice
of green philosophy >, <one straw revolution>, <road back to nature> ...
He is presently working on convincing peoples touched by desertification
Indian and chinese governements and starving peoples in Africa that : <you
can't do better than Nature>
He demonstrated in his land the power of that faith and certitude by
producing abondant foods with the least intervention.
He outlined 5 principles . NO tilling, NO fertilisation , No weeding or
principle of weed utility, No treatments of diseases, No pruning of fruit
trees.
His views are so radical that only desperate peoples take him seriously
and the CIA for his work on teaching peoples to take care of themselves).
When i met him in India 5 years ago he told us his answer to the question <
why do you do all this work on trying to stop desertification when you are
so old and soon to die.? > : < you don't have more time than i do , if 5
percent more of the total biomass was going to disappear , we are going to
enter an irreversible desertification process>
