My sister-in-law runs a troup and has decided to get the girls as many
badges as possible in one year.  It all depends on your leaders.  There are
badges for different ethnic groups, activities, works, etc.  It's all in the
leadership.

i actually don't know what scouts teach the girls, (aside from how to sell
cookies)  my daughter did not get into scouting.

    Actually, yes I was Ken - but in New Zealand they are called Girl
    Guides.  I only went for a couple of years.  Hated it with a passion,
    those dreadful uniforms, and all the rules - nothing more than kiddie
    fascism in my opinion!!!!  I'm not big on following orders and
    maintaining the status quo.
