New and more easily accessible papers at
Psychoanalysis and the Public Sphere/Free Associations web site:
http://www.human-nature.com/free-associations/contents.html

Here are two new papers:
Robert Langs 'A JUST PEACE FOR THE FREUD WARS'
in which he offers his 'communicative' approach to psychoanalysis as
a solution to the Freud Wars.
Felix de Mendelssohn 'BUILDING A BRIDGE TO HEAVEN: NOTES ON THE
CONSTRUCTION, DECONSTRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE TOWER OF BABEL'
A lovely paper.

Below are some papers previously announced which were in various
eGroup 'Vaults', which, true to their name, were not very easy to get
into. These repisitories have been renamed 'Files' in the merger of
eGroups with ONElist but they are still not easy of access. I
experimented with them and have decided that it is better to put
papers on the HUMAN-NATURE.COM web site. I have been busy learning
how to do this and have acquired a minimal proficiency. Anyone
learning how to put things on web sites from a state of pure
ignorance can take comfort from the fact, that I, the least dextrous
of people, have a learning curve that is not entirely flat, though it
is still nearly so. I used Microsoft Front Page and Cute FTP and had
a lot of support.

R. D. Hinshelwood, 'ALIENATION: SOCIAL RELATIONS AND THERAPEUTIC RELATIONS'
R. D. Hinshelwood, 'SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS OF KLEINIAN WRITING
1920-1995: A BIBLIOGRAPHY'
Karl Figlio, 'REGISTRATION AND ETHICS IN PSYCHOTHERAPY'
Karl Figlio, Director of the University of Essex Centre for
Psychoanalytic Studies gave a most interesting paper to a conference
on debates about registration of psychotherapists in Britain, mounted
by the British Confederation of Psychotherapists in June 1999. It is
published in The British Journal of Psychotherapy.
Ros Minsky, '"TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING": CONTROL OR CONTAINMENT IN
COPING WITH CHANGE'
Ros Minsky, 'BEYOND NURTURE: FINDING THE WORDS FOR MALE IDENTITY
(be patient: I haven't quite got this one connected up but should
have it before the day is over).
