How can I find a cardiologist that does not prescribe so MANY drugs? It's
insane. He's on blood thinners, (plural) blood pressure meds, Lipitor,
diuretics, you name it.

Mary, I just saw an add for Lipitor on TV. It had a note which I can't
quote verbatim, but was something like: "Lipitor is not known to reduce
heart attacks or death from heart disease." Well, duh, then why take it? I
think it reduces cholesterol, but so what?
We deal with stuff like this all the time on my alternative breast cancer
list. Lots of meds and procedures that are pushed by docs that do not
increase life.
