Well, Sheryl refused to do it, but why don't you give it a try...
Exactly what is "rough" about my "tone?" What did I say that was even
slightly improper? I'm pleased to have your support on my interpretation
of the facts, but this unsubstantiated mischaracterization of my
communication style is as intolerable, regardless of the source.
I am direct, I get to the point, I don't mess around with trivia. Those
are virtues, not vices. I do not engage in insults, profanity, or
personal attack. So tell me, PLEASE... what do YOU see as rough, or in
any way improper about my messages? Yes, I do have the tendency to
inconveniently try to pull people back to the actual points, such as
trying (and failing) to get Amadeus to just deal with the fact that fire
is out of the question, but you won't get anywhere trying to make that
into a fault.
As we can see, Sheryl is surrounded by enemies. Anyone who dares
disagree with her is branded an enemy and attacker. When she finds that
her views are not shared by many in a group she only recently joined, she
complains and threatens to leave. I don't know what "tone" you think
others are imitating, but her claims of widespread attack started pretty
early. This is certainly not a place for mean spirited argument and
insult (neither of which I have seen here), but it is also not a
children's tea party. Ideas are offered, and sometimes refuted.
Yes, people have become rather short with Sheryl, but in the face of her
rather nasty and persistent accusations, it seems like a very restrained
reaction...
