Well, I eat high-protein, low-carb Paleo, and find that a carb-rich snack
like fruit will soon leave me dragging. I do better with small amounts of
protein foods, like a handful of nuts, a spoonful of nut butter, a bit of
meat, or a boiled egg. I used never to be able to work out after eating,
but with a high-protein, small meal plan, I have a much more even energy
level without being stuffed, and can work out at any time of the day. I
only wish I had known how to eat this way when I was bodybuilding
seriously; it would have been much easier and more productive.
