Yes. Since lowering my carb intake, I've notice any increase, especially
later in the evening, mucks up my sleep cycles. I assume it's because my
body's just not accustomed to that anymore and is more sensitive.
Ironically, there was a time in my life when I *purposely* had some carbs
before bed to help me to calm down enough so I could get to sleep in the
first place!

I occasionally have fruit cravings and I've started putting frozen fruit
(generally berries, but sometimes I'll add peaches or melon or something)
into the blender with a fair amount of water--I mean on a 1:8 to 1:10 ratio
and then drink this sort of thing all day--I get far less sugar at one time
that way, but it still seems to supply whatever nutrient or taste or
whatever it was I was looking for... if I'm realling wanting it sweeter,
I'll add a few stevia leaves and/or a bit of cinnamon, but that's about it.
I also find it's better if I make sure I get some protein as well,
generally late afternoon/early evening--I find that also seems to balance
things a bit, somehow! Entirely experiential--I have no idea why :)

I hope they were at least good dreams :)
