And she might end up like me - figuring out an ideal interval between
"doses" of dairy.  I can go 3-4 days between dairy days, more and I have
severe reactions, less and I have chronic ones.

A period of overindulgence (Xmas, holidays, being ill or stressed (I'm
weak)) and I usually leave it a week or to before starting on my 3-4 day
regime again.  Works quite well as it allows some flexibility and for me to
eat at restaurants without scouring the menu (well I still do that for
tomatoes and onions and bell peppers, but it increases the amount of food I
can actually have!)  Being a Dinky (double income, no kids yet) I'm a
frequent eater outer.
