Hi Rayna,

Glad you're using Linux. :-)

IBMs ViaVoice is a commercial product available for Linux.

If you want to look for something free, :-), Carnegie Mellon University has a
project called Sphinx. See:-

I haven't used either of these products, and peoples mileage with Voice
Recognition on the list has varied.

You will need a microphone and a sound digitiser card (with a Linux driver)
attached to you computer.
