Trader Joes' carries them. I don't quite know what capelin are -I have heard
the name though - maybe somekind of large sardine. They came from Iceland,
and the people there are pretty good looking, so that must tell you
something! Toxic residue I don't know. The waters around Iceland must be
pretty clean, I would think. The product also contains salt, tragachante gum,
sodium benzoate, citric acid, FD&C blue, red and yellow. They just taste
salty, really. Fish roe is much prized by native peoples, so it must be a
good food.
