Your intelligence and resolve are, in your case,  a sustainable source of
personal power.  Those qualities are simply all too rare.  I think there are
many people in our land who share many of your views but do not see
themselves in a position to make huge changes.  The paleo theory of diet
does, however, provide a sharp focus on the very huge problems.  In my mind,
overpopulation is an overriding concern.  Thank you for your very personal
but powerful response to my question.

No the need for  sustainability is certainly not an economic issue it is a
mindset that redefine the real values.
