Well, of course no one has ever gotten Kraft to test the cheese sauce packet,
and we have no guarantee of it really being gluten-free, however I did
receive 17 replies from people who do it "all the time" with no reactions at
all. We can make that 19 as myself and my celiac daughter tried it Saturday
with no reaction either.

I didn't receive any repies from anyone who had an adverse reaction, and
below are a few more helpful tips.

HI! When Bob of "Bob & Ruth" fame came to our area to do a presentation, he
specifically mentioned that he uses the sauce packet. So it is probably OK!

In the past I've used the cheese packet with no problems (but my mac-loving
daughter went milk free several years ago).

Perhaps a better solution is basically the same mix, bought in (small)
"bulk" amounts from King Arthur Flour Baker's Catalog. You can purchase it
in about 1/2 pound bags, use it in exactly the same way you do the Kraft's
stuff, it tastes exactly the same, and they did verify for me that the
ingredients were gluten-free. Again, this was a few years ago but the
product is still in their catalog, and I expect it's the same stuff. Much
nicer than buying and throwing away all those noodles.

Christie, we do that all the time. We use corn macaroni and use the
cheese mix from Kraft. We just throw the noodles away or use them in
craft projects. So far (nearly a year now) our 6yr old son has had NO
reactions from it. Thought you'd like to know!

Hope this helps!

Best of Luck!
