Is the Iomega and external one connected to the LPT port in front of the
printer? Is the printer connected to the LPT port using a passthrough port
on the Iomega drive? If that is your setup you will have problems. You
need to get either another PCI LPT port card, or get a Belkin FU123-KIT
multiple port IEEE1284 compliant box. Most printer manufacturers recommend
against connecting their printers using passthrough ports.

Subject: [PCBUILD] IOMEGA 100 MB AND STAR XR1520

    I have a new PC, Mobo MS6337 i815, 2 x 64 MB dimm, HDD fuj 30 GB... But
I am stil using my old printer STAR XR 1520. I also have an old iomega 100
MB. The matter is that when I am printing and try to acces the iomega at the
same time, the PC blocks and only after continuous Ctrl ALt Del, sequences,
closing all the programms, I get to turn off the PC.
Any comments on this?
TIA
Roberto
