I hope someone might be able to give me an idea of what could have happened
the the sound
on a HP Pavilion 4445. We installed a 128 mb stick of sdram, all went well
and we closed
up the case. The ram was detected just fine but the sound is gone. It's
not detected in
the device manager anymore. It's integreted into the motherboard so I can
think of anything
that would have shut it off. I would think it would take a jumper to shut it
off, but we didn't change any jumpers. We did pull the P1 connector from
the motherboard and that was of course put back on. Everything else is
working fine and the computer booted just fine.
I did go into the cmos but didn't see anything to do with the sound. Any
ideas?

Thanks
Dan Duffy
