So far I've not seen any of the responses answer your question about
*hardware* firewalls. If you have DSL or cable connection to the internet,
I would recommend D-Link's DI-701 for a single computer or DI-704 for a
network. For details see:

http://www.dlink.com/products/broadband/di701/
and
http://www.dlink.com/products/broadband/di704/

Others are made by Linksys (BEFSR41 is one model number) that I know little
about but do the same functions. Read more at:

http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=20&grid=5

Both of these have built in firewalls and the instructions are fairly easy
to follow.

The range of Internet prices are between $90 to $150, depending on the
number of PC's to connect to the internet. I belive that the single PC
version of D-Link lists for $99.

For a dialup connection, haven't seen a hardware firewall
solution. Usually dialup computers are not as much a security problem if
the ISP has dynamically assigned IP addresses which is the norm these days.

Hope this helps.

Doug
