I also have this problem. I have found out if I religiously
avoid anything with even a speck of sugar in it
for 2 weeks, I lose the taste for it. This includes
chocolate; it doesn't even look good. If I get started
eating chocolate or candy, however, I can easily go
through 1/2 lb of it a day, eating until I get sick.
Addictive, yes, to me. I know people who can eat
one piece of chocolate and quit (hard as that is to believe).
Binging on fruit can turn on the cravings, but it takes a
lot to do it, whereas one piece of candy will turn on the
switch. I do okay with small servings of fruit.
