Jabou,
This was not the first time that you and I exchanged private mails. I think the first time we exchanged private mails was some time early last year when you wrote to me after I posted an article that I called "Figuring it out". After that we have exchanged private mails a number of times.
So when I wrote to you the last time I thought that you understood that it was a joke. At least the three or four people whom you mentioned understood it that way. That's why I never got round to contacting Ebrima even though I kept insisting that I was going to do so. So I'm surprised that you try to bring this up here. You must be very hurt by what I have said during the last few days to resort to this. Please contact those three or four people and they'll confirm what I said about it all being a joke. Didn't we even continue to exchange afterward and I was the one who owed you a reply from many weeks ago? Or is it that you took me seriously and that why you are so irked? At least that was not my intention. But just as I said earlier today in response to Elhajj Mustapha, I have laid this issue to rest.
Regards,
Kabir.

Kabir,
I would not have responded to you, not because I lack the ability to
challenge your response point by point ( and i know you know this) but for
many other reasons, including urgings from some people on the L , but I see
that you are continuing to try to put words in my mouth.
For starters, about a little over a month ago, you wrote me a series of
personal emails discussing something of a very personal nature, and there are
three or maybe even four people on this list who know about this.
