Many thanks for the information about Mr. Suwarreh. This is really
troubling and (if confirmed), a good indication of the "mightier than
though" attitude held by some of these soldier/administrator(s) who have
so little regard for the rights of citizens. Please keep us informed.
Do you know if Mr. Suwarreh has dual (Gambian-US) citizenship/ permanent
residency? If he does we should be calling/petitioning the US Embassy
in The Gambia and the US State Department in Washington, D.C., to
intervene for his immediate release. Keep us posted.
