Hi Dan,
In my experience, I have found that putting the CD-RW and the CD-ROM on
different IDE channels works the best. It doesn't seem to matter which is
on which channel, so you really have two options. Either put the CD-ROM as
slave on IDE0 and the RW on IDE1 as master, or vice versa.
