        The highest frequency involved in computers is usually limited to the
processor die itself, those things usually measure at most 10mm square, so
no, there shouldn't be a limit any time soon purely due to wavelength issues
(you're talking about the 30~100GHz range there). OTOH there ARE a lot of
issues that must be surpassed in order to go much beyond 4GHz (4GHz not
being any concrete limit, it's just that the P4 does have a 2GHz version in
existence (not for sale though) and parts of the P4 run at twice the CPU
clock speed). I'm not quite sure why you are concentrating on quarter
wavelengths though. TTYL
