Hi All,

System Specifications:

486/66 IDE Mid-Nineties Model

In attempting to upgrade from a 1.7 gig HD to a 4.2 gig HD, the following problem was encountered:

Had CMOS auto-read HD, correct specifications appeared showing 4.2 gig drive, but drive would not boot. Message appeared "I/O error"

attempted to boot from a:/ with floppy for Windows 95 disk for same machine, but message appeared saying "invalid drive specification"

We looked up jumper specifications and settings at the IBM website and have made those settings on drive.

Any suggestions for assistance is appreciated.

Thank you.

b
