I haven't seen a reply to your question, so I'll answer
as much as I can..... <g>.
I don't have a chart of the wire colors handy, but.
from the pamphlet that comes with a motherboard,
you can find the pinout for the connector on each
type of board.
For an ATX, the pinout is:
1, 2, & 11 3.3vdc
3, 5, 7, 13, 15, 16, & 17 ground
4, 6, 19, & 20 +5.0vdc8 Power OK
9 5VSB
10 +12.0vdc
14 PS-ON
18 -5.0vdc
Now it's simply a matter of
crawl under the desk, rip off the case cover, and stand on
your head while holding a flashlight in your mouth so you can
see to unconnect the PS cable......
