Well, doesn't that assume that the hunter cooked everything, too? I think
it's likely the dogs always got the innards and trimmings, game unsuitable
or in excess of needs for humans, and a fair share of table scraps, too. A
lot of dogs do their own hunting of rodents, etc, and certainly scavenge
whatever would be lying in the woods.
