Certainly, we should stop eating infected beef. For those of us who have
taken up a diet based heavily on meat, this can be a worrying discovery, the
more so because the problem is not restricted to farmed animals, but is also
found in the wild. As always, the solution is to become informed about the
risks through education, rather than take the fatalistic approach and ignore
them.
