The word NeanderThin was my invention long before I had a publisher.
It
wasn't until the hardback edition (pg. 38) that I bothered to explain
what I
meant by the term. My editor, Heather Jackson, at St. Martin's was
the one
that insisted that I expand the book based on technical reviews by
those
listed in the acknowledgements. I also had to expand on some of my
claims
based on two legal reviews of the manuscript by their attorneys. She
also
insisted that I remove some of the "cute" stuff (such as the biblical
chapter headings) found in my first three (self-published) Paleolithic
Press
editions.
The St. Martin's editions are a far better book for her efforts. The
paperback edition should even have Don Wiss' web site listed
correctly.
