Summary on "tTG level increases on a STRICT GF diet. Why?"
Responses:
4 Hidden gluten
4 Greater sensitivity due to GF diet
2 Crohns or UC
1 Oats (I never eat oats)
1 Milk fructose or sucrose
1 Go on a light diet
My guess is somehow I've been poisoning myself with hidden gluten and that
I do indeed have increased sensitivity.
I went on a 7 day liquid diet with Ensure and took Flagyl and the swelling,
blood and mucous have finally cleared up. I am down to 155 from 175 last
year. Very frustrating, especially for my line of work, which takes a great
deal a physical energy.
For the next three months, especially before my next blood test, what I eat
will have to come from a vine, a tree, the sea, the ground or freshly
slaughtered. Other than that, I'm not eating it. Thanks for all the
responses.
