Hi,
I'm intested in following an evolutionary fitness type eating style (which
at present will mean based on the stuff described in NeanderThin plus
what's in the ev-fit mail archives). However I've just noticed a couple of
sentences in NeanderThin which basically say that due to die off of
bacteria in the stomach and other metabolic changes you are less able to
handle carbs and milk after having been eating ev-fit style for more than
a couple of weeks. However, no more detail than that is given. Is there
anyone on the list who has actually experienced this, and is it actually
`significant' (i.e., something that is actually problematic)?
(The reason that I ask is that I'm planning on basically seeing if ev-fit
is right for me by alternating between it and more normal eating style and
seeing if there's reasonable evidence that it leads to me feeling less run
down. The reason for this apparent overkill is that there are significant
external influences in my life which would make just trying it for 3
months and seeing if i feel better a very unreliable method. But if it's
the case that switching to a `normal' diet after eating ev-fit is
different from continuously eating a normal diet then I'll have to figure
a different way of deciding if it's right for me.)
Many thanks for any information anyone is able to offer,
___cheers,_dave________________________________________________________
