We tried ostrich steak last night - it was very dark meat kind of like
lean steak or the lean part of a duck breast.
I was expecting something really unusual taste-wise but it was very much
like duck. Nice and cheaper than duck [at least here in France] but
without the fatty skin that I really love to eat.
I will probably buy it again if it is on offer but I don't think I will
be buying it routinely, though it has suddenly appeared in all our local
supermarkets.
