For the gentleman who is wondering about having his upgrade posted correctly
at QRZ, I hope you still have your temporary license certificate from the V
E session.

I know of two instances where this certificate or the lack thereof made a
difference.  About 5 years ago, a local 14 year-old upgraded to Advanced.
It took his folks over six months to convince the FCC that he had indeed
upgraded.

In another local case, an older gentleman claimed to have upgraded from
Novice to General in another state, but, could not produce either the
certificate or the license.  He lost his case and was told that he must
re-test.
