Hi All--
I should have written this last week, but thought I
could find the information at the library...not
exactly. So here I am, asking for last-minute help. I
apologize...
Since I'm an "unconfirmed" celiac, my immunologist
wants to run some tests for porphyria. The testing
criteria is a nightmare, then I learned I need to be
on a semi-specific diet...low carbs, both simple and
complex.
Can anyone give me ideas for higher protein, low carb
food items? Of course, the obvious breads, pasta, rice
and cereals are out, but I'm not sure about which
veggies are high in carbohydrates. I have to be on
this diet for at least 72 hours prior to and including
Sunday - should start the diet Thursday night.
Thanks a bunch for any tips anyone can share! If
there's interest, I'll summarize the responses.
Cheers,
Ayn
