Here's a question that our doctor or others have not been able to answer:

Does the gluten protein cross the "barrier" and enter into cow's milk, and
thus dairy products we eat made from cow's milk? Some research has
indicated that gluten protein is present in human milk, but what about
cow's milk? Would it survive to be present in cheese or yogurt, the only
dairy products some of us celiacs can tolerate (or at least it appears
that way!)?

My celiac toddler is a finicky eater, I am loathe to cut out cheese and
yogurt, two of the few protein sources she will actually eat, yet I wonder
if this is a problem for her if gluten is present by passing through the
cow's milk.

Thanks!

Rhonda
