If it were a dial-up connection, then that would make perfect sense. However, my IP number has not
changed in three weeks. (Sorry - I neglected to mention that). This leads me to suspect the NIC
somehow needs refreshing - like a phone that's been left off the hook after the other party has
disconnected - (except with a phone line, you _might_ get a dial tone back after a while). I
appreciate your input - any other thoughts?
